KJ and Dan are struggling to communicate. In a relationship that has been going on for several years, the couple go to a friend’s cabin for the weekend to rekindle their romance… only to find a rat stuck in a glue trap and dying, but not quite dead. They disagree on how to handle it, with KJ advocating for a quick death and Dan suggesting making the rat’s last moments as pleasant as possible. The couple compromise and move on, slowly finding their way back to each other in this beautiful setting. Unfortunately, their peace is shattered by the arrival of a small woman who can only be charitably described as “eccentric” – she’s their host’s younger sister and had no idea anyone was staying at the family cabin. It’s okay to bump into her, right? As the couple struggles to handle this interloper on top of their already tense dynamic, KJ and Dan begin to worry that this obnoxious third wheel could be more of a threat to their relationship than they are.
