Story
When the massive Lawson cattle station lacks an heir, Australia’s rival factions see a chance to seize control. The series was filmed across the Northern Territory and South Australia in places so remote they’re barely inhabited – let alone screened.

Locations include the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park – with special permission from the traditional owners – and Tipperary Station, a real working cattle station so large it has its own airport and school. Great cast.
Anna Torv is amazing as a complex female antagonist
We loved Robert Taylor in Longmeier, he’s a great old, crusty Western-style guy. We loved her in Fringe but didn’t realise she was Australian because she dropped her accent.
Same for Michael Dorman who was in For All Mankind
It’s amazing how UK and Australian/NZ actors can drop the accent and sound so American. It’s nice to have shows set in nature rather than specific cities and constant violence.
I really hope there’s a season 2
