Story
Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, also known as the Penguin, is trying to take over Gotham’s criminal underworld. Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti talk about the melting makeup for filming in freezing temperatures, how they got into character during the production of “The Penguin.” Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of the Penguin to smoke cigarettes in The Batman (2022), but he couldn’t. In his own series, however, the character is depicted as a casual smoker who prefers cigars.
So the first episode is done and it was great
The umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. Graham Norton and guests: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024) appear.
I’ve never seen Farrell so involved in the character
I mean, yeah, he’s wearing a thick suit, but you’d never know it. His attitude, his body language, his voice, everything makes you immerse yourself in the character and see only the penguin. He is not related to any of the other penguins on live TV, Burgess Meredith or Robin Lord Taylor.
It’s a Scorsese gangster, but without the flowery language
He is a gangster from New York, a smart guy. The plot is simple, similar to Lord Taylor’s Penguin on the CW’s Gotham. The penguin is a middleman in a mafia organization.
Very entertaining and highly recommended
So far he has served his time, slowly moved up the ranks of the mafia, and then when the Riddler blows up the city’s boardwalk and his boss dies in that movie, he sees an opportunity to rise up in the world. Now begins a game of deceit, double-dealing and I guess triple-dealing.
